Brendan Steere, um cineasta de Nova Iorque, recentemente lançou um pequeno piloto de uma webserie live action de Evangelion chamada “Evangelion University”. O vídeo retira os Anjos, os Evas, os elementos gerais de Ficção Científica e re-imagina a série como um drama colegial dos anos 90.
Aarom Clark, do Eva Monkey, diz o seguinte sobre o trabalho de Brendam Steere: “Se alguém lhe falasse algo assim, você provavelmente ficaria pessimista, como eu estava. No entanto, fiquei agradavelmente surpreso com “Eva-U”. Depois de ter escutado as músicas dos anos 90 e o constrangimento de (principalmente) atores brancos com nomes japoneses, a série realmente não é tão ruim assim. A edição de áudio precisa de algum trabalho, mas a fotografia é boa, a maioria dos atores são muito bons e há umas boas risadas, especialmente com a introdução de Asuka.“

Brendan Steere, a filmmaker from New York, recently launched a short pilot live action webserie of Evangelion called “Evangelion University”. The video strips the Angels, the Evas, the general elements of Sci and re-imagines the series as a high school drama 90s.
